Our tribal citizens are very proud of our history, from our migration to what is now Texas to our role in aiding Sam Houston during the Texas War of Independence to the federal government’s official recognition. Coushatta Casino Resort has emerged as the ultimate winner for Casino Player’s Best Of Gaming Awards, receiving the 2023 Player’s Choice Award for winning the most awards in the Native South region. Previously two tribes now united as one, the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas boasts a unique story dating back to before the 1700s.
